On April 30, 2020 Perkumpulan Darma Laksana together with the Carmelite students distributed face masks and personal protective costumes to doctors and nurses in some medical centers in South Malang. Malang suffered severe covid 19 pandemic and a lot of people were infected by the virus. Medical centers in rural areas were usually not financially strong so that they needed help to follow the covid 19 procedures. The students also distributed face masks to local people who could not afford to purchase face masks. During study from home, Carmelite students supported by the Indonesian Carmelite NGO and Skolastika Community, made the face masks themselves.
