The Carmelite House of Mercy in Kuburaya Pontianak received an award from the City Government of Pontianak as the protector of children against child abuse (August 24, 2022). Since its beginning the house is intended to be a place where the abandoned and marginalized people may get spiritual, physical and psychological help. Sr. Magdalena Paula SKYB (local Carmelite sister) is receiving the award from the officer.
